There needs to be a line drawn between what is an offline home business and an home internet based business opportunity. Offline home businesses despite the influence of the internet are still very much alive in fact, they are thriving simply because the internet has now become a part of the offline home business scene.

But there’s little doubt that many are attracted to the internet in a home business sense simply because it provides low overheads and for promotions of digital products, the ease of delivery is so easy. A home internet based business opportunity could simply involve completing paid surveys and done in one’s spare time.

More involved businesses would include internet marketing and now, network marketing. In fact, it’s the latter which is seeing a revolution at the moment online and the internet network marketing “craze” is literally spreading like a wildfire.

Network marketing is always one of the first home business models people look at. Many decide to give it a miss when they learn about the prospecting techniques used however, the good news is that is changing rapidly. This was hit home by Ann Sieg in her Renegade system citing lack of cashflow one of the biggest reasons network marketers bailed out of their businesses within three months of starting.

But by switching their businesses online, that is, using the internet to generate targeted leads they can fast forward their network marketing business growth but better still, they also have the luxury of selling other people’s digital products through affiliate marketing techniques.

Even generating an extra $500 a month doing this means they are wiping off a large part of their autoship and training fees which are usually a big handicap for many new MLMers.

Using affiliate marketing techniques also means being able to create a list one can market to on a regular basis and in the case of a network marketer, some of these people may eventually show an interest in joining their primary business.

So when looking for a home based internet business be sure it doesn’t fall short on income options and you have the ability to earn from more than one income stream.
